Discs - set of 3 discs - SQU (Standard Quality):

• The putter has a hard edge (compared to ordinary plates) so it can withstand bumps on the iron chain on the basket. But expect the discs to wear out, of course - chain bumps, inaccurate tree bumps, impacts on grass/dirt/concrete.

The player will usually use all three drives during the game - Driver for long distance, Midrange for passing and Putter for actually finishing the drive to the basket. Each disc is a little different and requires a different throwing technique - practice, play, score :).

Speed 1 - 14
Speed is the ability of a disk to travel a distance. Discs with a high velocity value maintain their speed longer than those with a low velocity value and fly further depending on the throwing force.

Glide 1 - 7
Glide describes the ability of a disc to glide in the wind. Beginners find it easier to throw discs with high slip values. This makes them particularly suitable when there is a tailwind. Beginners who want to throw long distances should choose a driver with a high glide rating.

Turn +1 - -5
This is the initial phase of the disc flight, how much the disc will turn to the right (throwing the backhand right). A disc with a value of +1 shows this characteristic only slightly, while a disc with a value of -5 will pull strongly to the right.

Fade 0 - 5
This is again about the final stage of flight. What will be the tendency of the disc to tilt to the left. 0 is the lowest value and means that the trajectory will be straight. The high value creates a strong leftward pull. These discs are very reliable in strong winds.

As a rough guide, the lower the sum of Turn and Fade, the better the disc is for beginners, because the flight path is relatively straight and stable.

Expert opinion

I play with these discs myself. At most I'm happy with a set of three discs so far - I probably use Midrange the least. I play Driver most often from the tee and Putter logically for matchmaking. The discs have that matte finish - in the winter, in the rain, this has proved to be a great thing, where they don't seem to slip as much compared to the cheaper discs we have on offer.

Be sure to watch how your disc flies, where it turns, etc. It will help you a lot in the game. And be sure to bring a small towel with you to the course, because the fact that the discs don't slide as much obviously doesn't apply if they are wet or muddy :).
