Crossnet Volleyball

The game is played on a court with a net that divides the court into 4 parts. Begin by passing from square 4 to square 2. After that, players can play wherever they want. However, only the serving player gets a point (unless he spoils the ball). Whoever drops the ball moves to square 1 and the others move clockwise. The game is played to 11 points and a player must win by 2 points.

• A pump and of course a volleyball - inflate like a beach volleyball.

Before the game you need to build a net, its assembly is a matter of a moment. Dimensions: one square is 2x2 m, so you need at least 4x4 m space for the game. Check out the video in the Video tab.

Rules of the game Crossnet

• Only the serving player from square 4 gets points, unless of course he loses the exchange.
• The first player to score 11 points wins the set. It is usually played in two sets.
• The serving player stands behind square 4 and passes a cross to square 2. The receiving player can now play to any square.
• Kicking the ball is allowed. It is forbidden to smash or block from the opponent's serve.
  The height of the crossnet is usually 210 cm - it can be lowered for smaller players (three levels of adjustment in total).
• The game can be played by more than 4 players. Four players play, the others wait at square 1 and after the exchange replace the player who lost the exchange.
• It is not allowed to play the ball on the opponent's side when hitting (especially during a block).
• The ball can be played with any part of the body, but only one touch is allowed. Sometimes players can agree on 2 or even three touches.

Crossnet started hitting American beaches in 2018. I remember when I first came acrossthem on their Instagram. It was the very beginning...

Expert opinion

Interesting sports game from USA. I definitely recommend a suitable surface for the game - sand or grass. Be careful, you need to hook the ropes that hold the net together nicely. The great thing about the game is that it can be played by more players - 4-6 players is optimal (there is no problem to play with eight players, but players will wait longer for their game). I would also say that the game is suitable for a bit older children - 6 years and older.
