How did an ordinary game afternoon between a father and son become a game that people all over the world enjoy today?

In November 2018, Sébastien is playing at home with his five-year-old son, Gabriel. They don't have holes for classic marbles at hand, so they try a different approach. They take inspiration from curling. They tape several sheets of A4 paper to the floor, draw a colorful target, and use Dad's juggling balls instead of game stones. From a simple idea, the first version of Gabaky is born.

The enthusiasm for the new game leads Sébastien and his partner Willy to take the next step. Throughout 2019, they fully dedicate themselves to prototype development and testing. They first present the game to the public at the international fair Foire Internationale de Rennes, where it immediately gains the attention of visitors.

Furthermore, during the fair, an improvised Gabaky match takes place with the participation of Christian Karembeu, the 1998 football world champion. The game interests him so much that he receives one of the first copies. Shortly after, he contacts Sébastien, saying that his family and friends have fallen in love with Gabaky and would like to get it too.

This enthusiasm leads to further cooperation – Christian Karembeu becomes an ambassador for Gabaky.

Thanks to the shared passion of both creators and players across generations, Gabaky is gradually making its way into homes, schools, communities, and senior homes. And the story continues – the game is ready to welcome new players and become a part of shared moments with family and friends.
